Principal’s Blog

Dear Parents,

We at Visitation Catholic School wish you and your family a blessed Christmas season and a New Year filled with health, happiness and peace. May Christ, whose birth we celebrate, bless you and those you love.

Parents and guests are invited to join the students and staff of Visitation tomorrow for our end of the first trimester Awards Ceremony. This will be Thursday, December 16th, at 2:30 P.M. in the gym. At this time, we will be honoring students for academic achievement,       service, citizenship, and other accomplishments during the first     trimester. We hope you can come and help us to recognize students for their outstanding effort.

On Saturday, January 8th, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon in the 7/8th grade classroom, the School Advisory Committee and I will be hosting our annual Strategic Planning Meeting to review Visitation Catholic School’s three year plan. It is important that as many parents as possible come to this meeting. During the course of the meeting, we will be looking at our current plan to determine what has already been accomplished. We will be deciding which strategic issues should     receive action within the next year and which issues should be given attention over the next three years. This is the time for parents to have their voices heard in a discussion and to help determine the  direction of Visitation Catholic School over the next three years. We hope you can join us for this meeting.

I would like to thank everyone for supporting our service projects this Advent season. Visitation School and Parish was able to collect over 900 pounds of food and $700 for St. Vincent de Paul. Also we  received word that the care packages with the Christmas letters and socks donated by the students are arriving at the bases in Iraq and Afghanistan for the soldiers. And now, the baby bottles filled with donations for Birthright are arriving back at school. We thank you and may God bless you for your generosity towards these special  projects.

May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
