Principal Blog

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to our Second Grade class in the receiving of their First Holy Communion! Please continue to pray for them as they grow in their faith.

This week we celebrate our wonderful teachers with Teacher         Appreciation Week. I give thanks to our faculty and staff for the    sacrifice and service they provide to Visitation Catholic School. Daily, I see the love, compassion, and dignity our faculty and staff show for our students. The professionalism and experience our teachers share as they teach our children is very appreciated. I thank the parents and students who support our school staff, assist us, are patient with us, and challenge us in our mission to nurture and educate our children with faith in the future.

Thank you for the many auction donations turned in this week. We appreciate your efforts and are getting closer to the needed amount of donations for the auction. The auction committee asks that everyone please continue this week to look for and ask businesses for donations. Also needed are little items that could be used as basket fillers such as a can of nuts, some towels, a candle, a box of candy, etc. All donations should be turned into the basement of the convent/school office. The auction committee and I thank you for everything you do to make our auction a successful one.

Tomorrow afternoon is the school Jog-A-Thon. We have had a great Spirit Week with many fun activities organized by the Student Council. For the Jog-a-thon, please remind your child to dress for the weather as we jog rain or shine. Also please remember that students  warm up quickly when they are jogging and walking so they need to be careful not to overdress. Everyone is invited to come support your child and the joggers at the Pacific University track from 12:45 P.M to 1:45 P.M. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for your support of Visitation Catholic School.

May God bless you!

Carol Funk, Principal
