The year has flown by quickly, and already we are reaching our final days of school! We congratulate our eighth grade graduates as they finish their final year at Visitation. Please keep them in your prayers as they celebrate their graduation ceremony this Sunday at the 10:00 A.M. Mass.
Thank you to Mr. Elison and the fourth through eighth graders for the wonderful play, “Beauty Sleep,” last night. The play was very creative and enjoyable. The hard work of the students and Mr. Elison was very evident. Thank you to parents Val Evers and Doris Kennedy for their help with the sets and costumes.
Included with this packet is the final registration papers needed for next year. The student contracts and registration fees should already be turned in. Your Office Registration Packet will include all office paper work, the 2011-2012 School Supply List and 2011-2012 School Calendar. Please remember to return your Office Registration Packet no later than June 30, 2011. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me or our secretary, Lisa.
Next Wednesday at 12:30 P.M., we will be holding Visitation’s all school Talent Show in the gym. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy this end of year celebration. Also Thursday, June 16th, is our last day of school. We will be ending our year with Field Day and a picnic lunch. The students will participate in field games from 8:30 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. Then a picnic lunch will be provided behind the Parish Center for all students by our Parents Club. Dismissal time for this day will be at 12:00 noon.
If the weather looks like it will be warm, Field Day may involve some water activities. Parents should send a change of clothes for children who may be wet from these events but will not be going home at 12 noon. Please note, we still need several parents to help supervise the field day activities and also to help with serving the picnic lunch. If you are available to help with the activities on June 16th, please call the school office to have your name added to the helpers’ list.
Thank you for a wonderful year, and may God bless you!
Carol Funk, Principal
