Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving! This week, we begin the season of Advent by having a daily Advent prayer service at 8:20 A.M. in the gym. Parents are welcome to join us for these special prayers and songs. As part of our Advent preparations, the third through eighth grade students received the Sacrament of Reconciliation this week as well. We thank Father Michael for ministering this special sacrament.

Friday, December 2nd, is the end of the first trimester. Teachers will be doing final grading and preparing report cards during the following week. Report cards will be sent home with students on the following Friday,  December 9th.

Visitation Catholic School will be having a float in the Forest Grove Light Parade again this year. The parade takes place on December 3rd at 5:00 P.M. We invite all families to come and support our school by being a part of the float. We need many students to ride on the float and adults to walk alongside and pass out pencils and candy. Kids and parents who can join us for this fun event should meet at the staging area on Main Street near the skate park between 4:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. Look for the      Finegan’s tractor and trailer. Also remember to wear red, put on your Santa hats, dress for the weather, and bring your school spirit! We look forward to a great time!

I wish you a blessed and holy Advent,

Carol Funk, Principal
