Happy Catholic Schools Week! Thank you to Stephanie Hammond and the many parents and volunteers that helped to make the Open House and Carnival enjoyable for all. Also thank you to our Alumni, Grandparents, and Special Friends who joined us for our celebration yesterday. The students had a great time and our guests enjoyed the activities.
With this week’s newsletter is the Family Intent Form for the 2012-2013 school year. This information is used in planning the school budget. Please return the Intent Form by the February 10th deadline so that the school can make accurate plans for the next year. Also included in the Wednesday envelope is the Tuition Schedule for the 2012-2013 school year. We are happy to be able to keep next year’s tuition nearly the same as this year with only a small increase and a $25 dollar increase to the registration fee. The increased registration fee is used to help cover rising textbook costs.
Now is the time for parents to consider filling out the F.A.C.T.S. financial aid form. The results from this application are used by Visitation Catholic School to determine the financial aid allocation for the 2012-2013 school year. Completion of this application process is necessary for aid to be given to a family, and I encourage all families to apply. The deadline for the application is mid March.
We have reached the final day for the Pop Tab contest. The Pop Tab contest ends today, February 2nd , with a final weigh-in to determine the class winners and to see if the school has met its goal of 80 pounds. We are grateful for the many pop tabs that have been collected to help families in need.
February 2nd is Student Day. The students will have no homework, may wear Free Dress, and all are invited to enjoy the 7/8th grade class versus teacher’s volleyball game at 2:30 P.M. in the gym. There is no school on Friday, February 3rd. The teachers will be attending a retreat presented by Father Michael. Please keep all our teachers in your prayers.
May God bless our school, teachers, and children during this Catholic Schools Week!
