Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents,

May 31st is the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day is called the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary because Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth, whom, as the angel had told her, God had blessed with a son in her old age. We can feel the rush of warmth and kindness, the sudden urgency of love that sent Mary hurrying over the hills to help Elizabeth. When Mary greeted her cousin Elizabeth, John leapt for joy in his mother’s womb. This feast reminds us to be charitable to our neighbors. In honor of this special feast day, Visitation Catholic School students will be watching an all-school movie on Our Lady of Fatima.

We are continuing with our registration process for the 2012/2013 school year. Last week, information about tuition assistance grants was mailed to all families who had applied through FACTS. For next year, the decision to separate or combine first/second and fifth/sixth in the afternoon will be made as soon as final enrollment numbers are known. Following are the class teachers for next year:

Preschool—Mrs. Fletcher and Mrs. Robbins

Kindergarten—Mrs. Manning

Grade 1—Mrs. Solheim

Grade 2—Mrs. McDermott

Grade 3—Mrs. Anders

Included with your child’s Wednesday folder is a packet with final registration papers for the 2012/2013 school year. The student contracts and registration fees should now be turned into the school office. The Office Registration Packet includes the student emergency card, directory information, consent form for fieldtrips and student pictures consent form, etc. Please return this information to the office by June 13th. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me or my secretary, Mrs. McMullen.

As we approach the end of the school year we have many exciting activities to look forward to. Please check the school calendar for class fieldtrips and many other activities.

May God bless you!
