Today all parents should be receiving a notice of conference times for next week Wednesday or Thursday. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need to reschedule your conference time. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s progress and goals for the year.
Wednesday, Oct. 31st, from 1:15 to 2:15 pm will be the class Halloween Parties. As in other years, students will be able to wear their Halloween costumes to school. Please remember that no weapons (toy knives, guns, etc.) should be brought to school as part of the costumes. Also costumes should be modest in appearance, and students need to be able to play outside in them. Any makeup would need to be put on at home. For lower grade parents, please remember that the costume needs to be simple enough that the students can use the restroom without the teacher’s help. If a costume is more difficult, we ask that students not put them on until right before the party. We hope that you can join us for the Halloween Party!
Due to Outdoor School, the fifth and sixth grade students will be having their Halloween Party on Monday, Oct. 29th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The fifth and sixth grade students may wear their Halloween costumes to school on this day following the same guidelines as above.
We also ask that you take a few minutes to answer the survey questions about Visitation School’s Catholic Identity that was sent home in last week’s Wednesday envelope: Standard 6—The school helps students develop a service-oriented outreach to the Church and civic community after the example of Jesus who said, “I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you.” (John 13:15) Please return the survey before the parent/teacher conferences, or fill out the survey at the conferences. We need every parent’s input to have accurate survey results so that we can make the best decision possible for our students. Your input is important to our school and will help us in our process for Improving Student Learning.
