The excitement around Visitation is growing as we quickly approach the Verboort Sausage and Sauerkraut dinner. Phone calls are received daily in the school office asking the date of our famous dinner. All of this is made possible because of volunteers from our parish, school, and community. The dinner is important to our school because it is the major source of funding for Visitation Catholic School other than tuition. This weekend will be two very important dinner preparation events—the sausage making party and the grounds cleanup. Both events need many volunteers to make the party go quickly and smoothly. I hope you can join us on Saturday, and I look forward to seeing you on the grounds or in the sausage building.
Today and tomorrow we will be having our Fall Conferences. We look forward to meeting with you and to discuss your child’s achievements and goals. Please remember to reschedule your child’s conference if you are unable to make your scheduled time.
We also ask that you take a few minutes to answer the survey questions about Visitation School’s Catholic Identity that was sent home in last week’s Wednesday envelope. Please return the survey before the parent/teacher conferences, or fill out the survey at the conferences. Your input is important to our school and will help us in our process for Improving Student Learning.
I ask parents to please see the reminder about Halloween parties and costumes in the newsletter. It is a very fun day, but at the same time we want to make sure the students are safe and ready to learn.
