Thank you for donating food for our canned food drive to support Oregon Food Bank’s Project Second Wind. We were able to fill one and a half barrels with food. Also over $180 was donated. For each dollar donated 4 pounds of food can be purchased. Thank you for helping us to support this Lenten service project.
Thank you to the many parents, parishioners and students that helped to make the Rummage Sale so successful! We especially thank and congratulate our chairs Christy Duyck, Karen Duyck, Steve Klopcic and Deena Lizardo for a fantastic job. This year the Rummage Sale made over $9,400! I appreciate your help and effort towards this fundraiser. This event benefits our school and community in so many ways. The teachers found new items for their classrooms, and many people from the community came to shop for needed items. The monies earned from the Rummage Sale go to the Parents Club budget and help to pay for student activities such as fieldtrip costs, music, art, PE equipment, library supplies, and much more. I thank you for giving your time towards this worthwhile event.
The deadline for filling out the F.A.C.T.S. financial aid form is coming soon. The results from this application are used by Visitation Catholic School to determine the financial aid allocation for the 2013-2014 school year. Completion of this application process is necessary for aid to be given to a family, and I encourage all families to apply. The deadline for the paper application is March 20th and the on-line application is April 3rd.
Next Wednesday, March 13th, is the end of the second trimester. Teachers will be doing final grading and preparing report cards during the following week. Report cards will be sent home with students on the following Thursday, March 21st.
