Welcome back! I hope you and your students had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break and Easter. We have many special events coming up during this final trimester of the school year. At the same time, we remind our students to continue to stay focused even with spring arriving all around us.
We congratulate the seventh and eighth graders for their accomplishments at the NWSE science fair. Nate Wessels and Francis Duyck received honorable mention for their experiment Night Light Attraction in the category of Animal Science. Zack and Jake received the Army Outstanding Middle School Project Award for their experiment Survival of the Plants in the category of Environmental Science.
Everyone is invited to the end of trimester awards ceremony on Monday, April 8th, at 8:20 am. We hope you can join us to celebrate the learning of our students!
Monday, April 15th, is a no school conference day. Teachers will be available for parent conferences from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Conferences on this day are by request of teacher or parent. If you would like to schedule a meeting with your child’s teacher on this day, please prearrange the conference by calling the school office or your child’s teacher.
On Saturday, April 6th, the Washington DC kids will be hosting An Island Experience Dinner from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This promises to be a fun evening out for the parents and families with great food. I hope many of you can attend this worthwhile and fun fundraiser. Please see the newsletter for more details.
Please help us to market and show pride in Visitation Catholic School by taking one of the yard signs home to put up. Any of the signs in front of the school are available to take and more are available in the office as well.
I wish you a blessed week!
Carol Funk, Principal
