Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Friday morning, April 26th, is the school Jog-A-Thon. We have had a great Spirit Week with many fun activities organized by the Student Council. On Friday, the students should come to school in their school uniform for Mass. After Mass, the teachers will give the students an opportunity to change into their Jog-A-Thon clothes and class color. For the Jog-A-Thon, please remind your child to dress for the weather in school appropriate clothes as we jog rain or shine. Also students warm up quickly when they are jogging or walking so all students should bring a water bottle. Everyone is invited to come support your child and the joggers in the field behind the parish center from 9:45 am to 11:00 am. We hope to see you there!

Auction preparations continue in full swing this week. We thank everyone for the wonderful donations that have been given! All donations should be brought to the basement of the convent. Also thank you for remembering to turn in your Parent Interest Form for volunteering. Your help is much appreciated.

With this week’s newsletter is an envelope containing beginning registration forms for the 2013/2014 school year. Also included is a letter detailing the main highlights of this year’s registration. Please return the registration form as soon as possible so that the school can make accurate plans for the next year.

During the month of May we honor Mary in many special ways. Next Wednesday, May 1st, we will be having an all school crowning of Mary and rosary at 1:45 pm.  All the students are encouraged to bring flowers and a rosary on Wednesday, and parents are welcome to join us. We will be having this special prayer service at the shrine next to church if the weather permits or in church if the weather is wet.

Thank you for your support of Visitation Catholic School.

May God bless you!

Carol Funk, Principal
