Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Thank you for our most successful auction ever! This year we surpassed our school record and raised over $83,000 gross from the Friday and Saturday night auctions for Visitation Catholic School. We thank our auction chair, Missy Klopcic and the committee leaders for your hard work and organization. Also, thank you to our wonderful parents for your dedication that made this a fun evening for all our guests. Your efforts will help further enrich the education of our students at Visitation.

Next week, Tuesday through Friday, the 8th graders will be at the beach for their eighth grade retreat. This is an opportunity for the eighth grade students to more fully understand their faith, to explore their talents, and to search for where God will be leading them in high school. Father Michael will be coming to do a full day of presentations and activities, and to celebrate Mass with the eighth graders. I will also be joining the eighth graders for an afternoon. Please keep our eighth grade students in your prayers during this week and also as they prepare for graduation.

We have some very important dates coming up over the next few weeks. Friday, May 17th is the deadline for nominations to  the School Advisory Committee. If you are interested in serving Visitation Catholic School in a leadership role on SAC, I encourage you to submit your name to the school office.

Friday, May 24th is the date the staff and I need comments for revising the Visitation School Mission, Philosophy, and Schoolwide Learning Expectations. We would appreciate your comments to help us rewrite our current Mission, Philosophy, and Learning Expectations.

Please check the school calendar for other important dates coming up.

In Christ,

Carol Funk, Principal
